In June of 2017, the world lost an incredibly wonderful human being due to health complications, who was not only an amazing customer of mine and a huge inspiration to my work, but a dear friend and a very generous, caring and loving soul. She touched so many lives! To top it all off, she was a remarkable humanitarian. That person is Karen Ridgeway-Viera of South San Francisco, California. She was a big part of the Elks Lodge #2091 in South San Francisco as their Secretary, but she was someone who wore many “hats” with her dedication and loyalty. She was a supporter of the Disabled American Veterans. She was also someone with a giving heart and positive attitude, who loved to make people smile and feel good about themselves. In fact, she always wanted to turn a frown upside-down! She is a reason I didn’t give up on creating when times were the toughest. She wore my jewelry with pride and was always promoting my work. Karen, you will be greatly missed and I can’t thank you enough for all of the love and support you’ve shown me for the past several years.
Here are some photos of my jewelry which Karen purchased from 2013-2016, along with photos of Karen wearing some of the pieces.
